Biography

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Sharon received her degree in Education at Brooklyn College. She moved to Cherry Hill, New Jersey where she and her husband raised their two sons and she received a second degree in art education at Glassboro State. She taught art and English for twenty-six years in Medford.

Upon retirement in 2003, Sharon pursued her life-long interest in art on a full time basis. It was then that she discovered her affinity for watercolor painting, enjoying the magical, fluid properties of the medium and the endless possibilities for expression that it offered.

Since she started painting full time, Sharon has studied and has been inspired by the late well-know local artist, Rosemary Hutchins. Development and growth has been further fulfilled with additional workshops given by artists including Dolores Zeigler, Phillip Carroll, Ben Cohen, Dan Hines, Jane Lux, and George James.
